Homemade Soft Pretzels
GOLDEN SPATULA
Whole Wheat Pizza Crust Dough
Ingredients
______ ¾ c all purpose flour
______ ¾ c whole wheat flour
______ 2 ¼ tsp quick rising yeast
______ ¾ tsp salt
______ ¼ tsp sugar
______ ½ c warm water
______ 2 tsp olive oil
Directions
1. _____ In a large bowl, combine ¾ c all-purpose flour, ¾ c whole wheat flour, 2 ¼ tsp quick rising yeast, ¾ tsp salt, and ¼ tsp sugar
2. _____ In a measuring cup, combine ½ c warm water (max 110°F) and 2 tsp olive oil.
3. _____ Pour into flour mixture.
4. _____ Stir vigorously until well blended.
5._____ Sprinkle a little bit of all-purpose flour on the counter.
6._____ Turn the dough out onto the counter and knead for 5-10 minutes or until it feels smooth and elastic.
7. _____Coat a sheet of plastic wrap with cooking spray and use it to cover the dough, spray side down.
8._____ Let dough rest for 20 minutes before rolling it out.
